Into the Deep Level 1

Very enjoyable. We have been doing the program for 3 weeks now. I have tried other religious education programs and none felt right for homeschooling. This one was made for homeschooling and is definitely the right fit! I have utilized the picture book recommendations with each lesson and it has brought a fun, well- rounded experience for the kids. Looking forward to the rest of the program and growing with my children in the knowledge and love of Christ through His Church.

Hi Lauren! I'm thrilled that this has been a wonderful experience for your family so far. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. God bless you all!

Helps develop a deeper appreciation for the beauty of the Mass

Every child should complete this Mass study before receiving the Sacrament of First Communion. It takes a thorough look at the Mass and helps us all to develop a deeper appreciation for the beauty of the Mass! I’m so grateful to have this resource to prepare my children for Mass so they can fully reap the benefits of this holy experience!

Gleaning so much as an entire family from this resource

I didn’t think I could be more impressed with Level Two than I was with Level One, but I was wrong! We are gleaning so much as an entire family from this resource. I appreciate the scripture readings referenced each lesson, the beautiful artwork printed in full color, the commitment to truth, beauty, and goodness throughout the resource. It is so important to make connections to material, so the book list is so helpful. My prep time to use the resource is virtually none. The pages are thick and durable for passing through many hands. The author of this program clearly had a vision for creating a program that made a parent’s life easier and a child’s Catholic education so much more fruitful! I’m so thankful for someone who is truly working to create a lovely education opportunity for my children in this resource!

The resource I’ve been missing for years!

This is the resource I’ve been missing for years! It approaches our Catholic faith from a gentle perspective for children, yet there is no ‘fluff’ in sight! It contains depth and wisdom, and it keeps the attention of my kids of all ages. It is such a gift to my children!

This is seeking Truth, Beauty, and Goodness

Some of the best things about this resource:
1. The open and go method. No prep needed is a timer saver that this mama-of-many is very grateful for.
2. The information is GOOD. If you were catechized at your local parish's CCD during the 90s, you are probably going to be reclaiming your own education as you teach your children with this one.
3. There is a definite Charlotte Mason feel throughout which I love.

One of my favorite parts of all is the way students use their own Bibles throughout this resource. It is so beautiful to flip from Old Testament to New in your own Bible as you're learning about salvation history. It really does help the kids get more fluent with their Bible and returning to your Bible again and again really drives home the fact that this faith is grounded in scripture.

This is not a time waster. This is seeking Truth, Beauty, and Goodness. Thank you!

A beautiful product that is open and go

We have been using this for several months in our homeschool with my 2, 4, and 6 year olds. We are all loving it! Thank you for creating a beautiful product that is open and go, accessible for all, and a joy to teach with.

So fruitful for our family

The Mass study has been so fruitful for our family this Lent, particularly for my 2nd grader preparing for Sacraments! Thank you for such a beautiful book that is both inspiring and easy to use to bring deep truths of the Faith into our homeschool!

So valuable to our daily homeschool

This resource has been so valuable to our daily homeschool. I desired an open and go Catholic guide to give me the words to draw depth from my children. It does exactly that. It is flexible with ages of children and draws out my 10 year old, 8 year old and 6-1/2 year old. The book has beautiful imagery and I love the nicely made material of the cover and pages, too. Thank you for doing the prep to give us richness in drawing our children closer to the Lord through story, images and beautiful questions.

Have you ever desired the Mass to “come alive” for your children?

Have you ever desired the Mass to “come alive” for your children? Or even yourself? This study is for you!

I was thrilled when The Mass Unit Study was released. Being a satisfied customer of Into the Deep Level One, I knew this would be beautifully done.

My oldest son is currently in first grade. We purchased this study so we could go through it together before he receives First Holy Communion. With that being said, the curriculum is such that anyone would benefit from going through it (including parents).

The lessons are written to help a parent guide children through the content. You do not need a degree in Theology or Catechesis.

I highly recommend this resource for any Catholic home. As a former teaching professional, and parent to 4 littles, this was what I was looking for!

A wonderful addition to our morning time

These Rosary studies are amazing. We used the Joyful mystery study during Advent, and are currently using the Sorrowful mysteries during Lent. My children love diving deeper into the paintings. It also helps them to better meditate on these mysteries when we pray the Rosary. It has everything you need to open and go. A wonderful addition to our morning time.

Beautifully written and very engaging catechism

The whole family looks forward to "Into the Deep" days of the school week! I love that the curriculum is open and go. There is minimal to no prep necessary! However, the real treasure is the beautifully written and very engaging catechism. As I read, I see the faces of my children taking it all in and thinking about the presentation. We recommend this amazing catechesis to everyone we know!

A ready-to-go but still beautiful Catholic study

We found this curriculum (if you'd call it that) while trying to find a ready-to-go but still beautiful Catholic study to go along with our homeschool materials. I wanted something a little less hodgepodge than what I was trying to do myself. This is such a beloved part of our morning basket. We do it 1-3x/week and all three of our children ages 2-8 participate. I love how *I'm* also learning while we go and we can definitely loop back around and do it again once we've finished it because there is so much information beyond just the scripted lesson included. I especially like that even if you only do the scripted portion and not any of the optional add-ins, you're getting a full, beautiful lesson. We've tried other open-and-go lessons and felt they were very lacking if you didn't do at least some of the optional items, and sometimes you're in a season where open-and-go is necessary. We will definitely be purchasing Level Two when we get to that stage.

Engages the heart and the mind

We purchased this unit study for sacrament prep and have so enjoyed incorporating it into our weekly lessons. Some days we only do a page or two and sometimes the kids are so into it they beg to keep going. It can be so hard to find sacrament prep materials that engage the heart and the mind and aren't simply memorization. Not only is it beautiful to look at but it's so beautiful to read through. I love that the parent scripts are written in a way that feels really genuine even on the days where I'm just hanging in there and reading it word for word.

Imagery is beautiful, content is thorough and approachable

Just started using the Mass Unit Study ahead of our son's first communion. It has been such a joy to see those lightbulb moments for him as we go through the material together. The imagery is beautiful, and the content is thorough and approachable. I can't recommend this study enough!

Diving into a deeper understanding of the Mass

A beautiful and thorough resource for diving into a deeper understanding of the Mass. I used this with a group of grade four children in a catechetical program in my parish. Everything I needed was right there, so very helpful! I really love all the print resources that come with it too!

The best investment of time and money

My children attend, an accredited Montessori school. Because of that, I know they are not getting Catholic formation. It is absolutely essential we implement catechesis within our home!

Into the Deep appealed to me because of the “open and go” nature of the lessons. Prep time is not always necessary, and if it is, the lessons are outlined in such a way I can see what is needed and quickly prepare.

As a former teacher, I am most impressed with the structure of lessons, the various modes of learning that are presented, and above all, the scope of the entire curriculum as a whole.

I have 4 children: ages 7, almost 6, 4, and 21 months. I can teach from this curriculum with all of them. (Although “baby John” comes and goes during the lesson time.)

Without a doubt, as a trained educator and mother, recommend Into the Deep. I feel it is is the best investment of time and money. We have been blessed abundantly by this resource.

So encouraged by all it offers

Hi there! I just received my first Into The Deep level one catechesis for my family. I, alongside my husband, am a newly converted Catholic (2 years ago!), but a previously a Jesus-loving, faithful Protestant Christian. This shift to Catholicism is one that I LOVE, but has definitely come with different challenges including teaching our kids (5, 3 and 1) this newfound faith. My husband and I found your catechesis and feel so encouraged by all it offers.

Beautiful and compelling

This study is absolutely beautiful. I love introducing my children to sacred art. I don’t have an art background so it’s a beautiful education for me too! They learn more about the event/mystery in Christ’s life and as well as understanding themes woven in the art. It’s beautiful and compelling!

Such a beautiful, helpful resource

This is such a beautiful, helpful resource. Like Deah, we also came into the Catholic Church at the 2022 Easter Vigil. This study has been a wonderful asset to our Homeschool study on the faith. I look forward to purchasing more resources. What would you recommend? My kids are 12 and 13. Thank you!

Wonderful as an Advent study

This study has been wonderful for my family as an Advent study. Each one of us is enjoying and learning so much from this, and it has brought deeper meaning to the Joyful decades of the Rosary for us. We have 7 kids, and honestly prayer time as a family always seems a little crazy with restless kids. There is something about this though for my kids, they are so intrigued they don’t want to stop. I feel like I can’t quite express how beautiful it is and how much joy we’ve had doing this. We would just LOVE if you ever offered a study of the other rosary decades. Thank you for offering such a beautiful study!!

Deeply enjoyed this Mass Study

My son and I have deeply enjoyed this Mass Study. Our whole family recently joined the Catholic Church and all received our first communion together this year at Easter vigil. Going through this mass study this Fall has given my son and I such a deeper understanding of the Mass and is written with such joy about the Mass that it helps us fall deeper in love and in awe of this beautiful and most important part of our week.
