Celebrating the Month of the Rosary as a Family

Celebrating the Month of the Rosary as a Family - Into the Deep

October is a very special month for Catholic families as we celebrate the month of the Holy Rosary.

Saint Padre Pio encourages us to grow in this powerful devotion with these words: "Love the Madonna and pray the Rosary, for her Rosary is the weapon against the evils of the world today. All graces given by God pass through the Blessed Mother.”

Here are some ideas to honor Mother Mary in our homes:

For Families with Babies, Toddlers and Preschoolers

1. Marian Coloring pages: These free Rosary of Roses coloring pages are perfect for toddlers and preschoolers to color and pray. They are from Kindling Wild.

2. A Rosary made just for them: Devotion to the Holy Rosary grows over time. Chews Life’s silicone Rosaries for littles are beautiful and safe to introduce this prayer. (They also have lovely Rosaries and Rosary bracelets for Moms and Dads!).

3. Craft time for Preschoolers: This cute Rosary from Real Life at Home is so easy to make that your littles will enjoy making more than one!

For Families with Older Children

1. Something sweet for our Queen: Catholic Icing has the most delicious cake recipe for every Marian celebration! We love this blueberry lemon pound cake at home and we serve it specially during May crownings season or in October.

2. Sacred Art for the whole family: Art appreciation is a great tool to help cultivate prayer life and a Catholic worldview. Into the Deep's Holy Rosary Picture Studies are perfect to grow in devotion to the Lord and our Lady this month or year-round.

3. Rosary Hike: The crisp air and the crunchy leaves are calling for a nature hike. Depending on the age of your children you can do a decade or a Rosary together, as you enjoy the beautiful fall landscape.
