Art grants us a myriad of opportunities to expand not only the minds of our children, but also their hearts. Pioneer of home education Charlotte Mason wrote of the student:

His education should furnish him with whole galleries of mental pictures, pictures by great artists old and new … in fact, every child should leave school with at least a couple of hundred pictures by great masters hanging permanently in the halls of his imagination … he should go forth well furnished because imagination has the property of magical expansion, the more it holds the more it will hold. (Mason 43)

In just 15 minutes per work, these picture studies will present the child with beautiful classic art depicting the Mysteries of the Faith, allowing them to imagine themselves within those Mysteries, and helping train their minds and hearts to contemplate the things of God.

Here's what you get with The Mysteries of the Rosary Picture Study Bundle:

  • 20 high-quality, 8.5"x11" prints of classic sacred art. These are printed on UV-coated card stock, making them sturdy and perfect for framing or displaying.
  • 4 booklets including information on what the Church has said about sacred art through the centuries and an introduction to picture study catechesis.
  • Inside each booklet, you'll also find a two-page, open-and-go catechesis on each art piece. As always, this includes a suggested Scripture to read based on the Mystery and is permeated with prompting and discussion questions to help the child engage with the painting.
  • Each set comes in a sturdy, labeled, and velcro-sealed envelope perfect for long- term storage and repeated use.

You don’t need any prior experience or background in art history to get started. Each of our studies includes a simple parent guide with clear, straightforward scripts you can read aloud as you lead your children. No prep required!

You’ll be learning right alongside your kids, discovering the beauty and richness of sacred art together.

I know nothing about sacred art. How will I teach my children?

You don’t need to be an expert to begin.

Our studies are designed to guide you step-by-step, with a simple parent guide that includes clear, read-aloud scripts, background information, and thoughtful discussion questions. There’s no prep work and no prior knowledge required.

In fact, many parents find that learning alongside their children becomes one of the most meaningful parts of the experience—growing in both understanding and wonder together.

What age is this intended for?

All ages can enjoy this resource. It's designed to be family-style, to be used as a family with all spans of ages, but children ages 7-17+ will especially enjoy it!

Is this resource re-usable, even with the same child?

Absolutely! Repetition is highly valuable when learning the Faith. A child(ren) can repeat this resource across multiple years.

 Is this resource only for homeschooling families?

No. While many homeschooling families use our studies, they can be used by all Catholic families, regardless of educational approach.
