Lectio divina is an ancient practice rooted in the early Church. The purpose is to pray with Scripture, allowing the Lord to speak to us through His Word. As Saint Jerome reminds us, “When we read Scripture, God speaks to us.” This is the method employed by saints throughout the history of the Church!
We made this lectio divina journal for kids ages 8-18. Each spread walks the child through the four movements of lectio divina:

We provide 40 carefully-selected Scripture passages for them that engage the imagination and lend themselves well to this prayer. Then, we leave them 20 blank pages for them to select their own Scripture passage with which to pray!
