Lectio divina is an ancient practice rooted in the early Church. The purpose is to pray with Scripture, allowing the Lord to speak to us through His Word.
This is the method of Bible reading employed by Saints throughout the history of the Church!
What to Expect:
We made this lectio divina journal for all Catholic women. Go at your own pace.
Each spread walks you through the four movements of lectio divina:
Lectio (Reading)
Meditatio (Meditation)
Oratio (Prayer)
Contemplatio (Contemplation)
With intentional, repetitive prompting questions, you will build the habit of prayerful reflection on the Word of God.
We provide 40 carefully-selected Scripture passages that engage the imagination and lend themselves well to this prayer.
Then, we leave you 40 blank pages where you can select your own Scripture passage with which to pray (the daily Mass readings are a great place to start)!
The journal has:
Hard, linen cover with gold foil
