12 Inspiring Books for Homeschool Moms

12 Inspiring Books for Homeschool Moms

Every summer, I look forward to preparing my heart and soul for the coming school year with sun, prayer, planning, and books! Inspiring homeschool books are always on my list of reads.

When we were discerning our decision to homeschool (when our oldest was a toddler), one of the first books I read was Teaching from Rest

Truly, I owe so much to the wonderful women who have paved the way of home education. (And there is a special room in my heart—of course—for Moms who have written a book to encourage us in this journey.)

Today, I want to share with you 12 inspiring books for homeschool moms.

The Beauty of Homeschool Books

A good homeschool book can motivate you on a cloudy day, it can remind you your purpose, and inspire you to keep walking as a family in the direction that the Lord is showing you.

I particularly enjoy the Homeschool Books where the author shares a raw testimony of their initial struggles, the battles of their children and how the family overcame them and the little ones who loved read aloud Beatrix Potter’s stories became adults who love to learn, who stand for serving and caring for those around them, and most importantly, who have a close relationship with Jesus.

What to Look for in a Homeschool Book

No matter how long you have been on this journey, there is always something new to learn that will help you refresh your knowledge and your spirit. Not all the books that I have read have been a good fit for me or for my family. Don’t get frustrated if someone tells you they love a particular book and you don’t find it useful now. Keep looking for inspiring homeschool books that speak to your heart and the season you are currently living.

Now is your turn. Is there a particular book that has made a big difference in your homeschool journey? Share with us in the comments!
