My Favorite Homeschool Supplies List

My Favorite Homeschool Supplies List

Early July is the season when I start to prayefully plan our school year. I sit down, grab a cup of tea and take the time to ponder: What has worked for my childen? What can we leave aside? What can I do better as a mom? Where is the Lord leading us as a family?

I also write down the things our kids and I may need to avoid overspending, so today I would love to share with you a list of my favorite homeschool supplies.

Some of these items contain links to my Amazon Storefront, you can find the full list here (If you are new to homeschool, I want for you to know that I didn't buy them all at once. I started with just a few things and every year I add a few items as needed):

Homeschool Room Basics

  1. White board
  2. Dry erase markers
  3. This bamboo book stand is a keeper for read aloud or as a cookbook holder.
  4. A pencil holder that looks good and does the job.
  5. Timer.
  6. Poster frames are so useful!
  7. Cork board.
  8. Globe.
  9. Three rings binders to organize and protect projects.
  10. Scripture pencils. There are lots of options on Etsy to choose from, but I like these a lot. They are gentle reminders of Who are we really working for.

Arts and Crafts

  1. Construction paper
  2. Acrylic paints.
  3. Dot markers are so much fun for littles!
  4. Twistables of every color are basic at our home.
  5. Crafts box. Some many choices, but here is a good one
  6. Watercolors.
  7. Watercolor book.
  8. Paint brush set.
  9. Paint Palette.
  10. Tip-Brush markers.
  11. Oil pastels.
  12. Air-dry clay.

For Mom

  1. A Journaling Bible.
  2. Catholic academic planner, I love the one from Blessed is She.
  3. A Journal.
  4. Highlighter markers. This 8-pack of neutral colors is my favorite. They are no bleed, perfect for Bible highlighting.
  5. A few homeschool books to keep the inspiration going through the year. Here are some suggestions.
  6. Library card, of course!

Organization Tools

  1. Holy Habits Catholic Cards. These cards will do wonders to start building a routine for your little ones. Print them and place them on the fridge or on a wall where they can see them.
  2. Into the Deep's Catholic student planner. Perfect to help 8-15 year olds stay organized, grow in responsibility, and keep Christ at the center of their day.

Reading Boosters

  1. Movable alphabet for toddlers and preschoolers.
  2. Yoto player mini is a great companion for their daily learning adventures. Here's why.
  3. Yoto player for screen-free reading time.
