Where your homeschool philosophy meets thorough, deeply Catholic catechesis.
Into the Deep: Level Two is a Catholic homeschool resource for religious education. However, it can be used by any family, as it is easy to customize and tailor to your schedule. Aimed at providing opportunities for the child to encounter Jesus Christ, the Living Word, this catechesis program will help you build a legacy of Faith in your home.
Level Two contains 72 Presentations (or lessons) and you can space and pace those according to your desire. While Level Two is written toward 4th-6th graders, this can easily be used as whole-family catechesis or during your morning time. As always, this resource aims to support you in your mission as primary catechist in your family, this leaving you ample space to tailor the content to your family's liturgical preference, devotions, and charisms.
Level Two can be completed by the child independently, alongside a grown-up, or a combination of the two.
Using beautiful, original watercolor illustrations, nature study, poetry, art, music, narration, and story, Level Two draws the child deeper into the Story of Salvation History, exploring the typology in the Old Testament and how Christ is the fulfillment of the promise. Level Two also explores the Sacraments, or "signs," as they are presented in the Gospel of John, as well as the effects of the Sacraments. Finally, we take a look at Church history from the early Church to the Middle Ages. As always, every Presentation is steeped in Sacred Scripture, beauty, and prayer. We hope this resource helps our children see that they play an irreplaceable role in the Story, and that life with Christ truly is a wonderful adventure (a la JPII).
